Alert when opening Wunderlist for Windows 7 / Windows Desktop App

If you are seeing an alert on opening the Wunderlist for Windows 7 / Windows Desktop App with an error message



"Wunderlist was unable to securely connect to the internet. It is possible that your connection may be compromised. Please contact Wunderlist Support at https://support.wunderlist.com"

please follow these steps:

Download the Wunderlist Updater here

Then: 
  1. Close the Wunderlist Windows 7 application from the system tray
  2. In this folder, navigate to the file named `Wunderlist-Updater.exe` and double click it
  3. If you are prompted by a system message titled "Windows protected your PC", click the 'More info' link and then 'Run Anyway'
  4. Open the Wunderlist Windows 7 application

                                                                                                                          

If downloading or starting the Wunderlist-Updater.exe fails, you can download the .js file directly and move it manually into the installation directory:

After downloading the Patch file, please do the following:
  1. Close the Wunderlist Windows 7 application from the system tray
  2. In this folder, navigate to the file named `sslVerifier.js`
  3. Press the Windows key + R to open the Run dialog and paste this phrase into it: %LocalAppData%\Wunderlist
  4. Drag the `sslVerifier.js` from this folder and drop it into the newly opened window. Replace the old file with the one you just dropped in.
  5. Open the Wunderlist Windows 7 application
