How to use Smart Lists

Smart Lists are filter-views which group to-dos together based on a certain specific criteria. For example, the “Assigned to me” Smart List shows you every to-dos assigned to you, across all of your lists. The “Starred” Smart List shows you all of the prioritized to-dos in all of your lists. Smart Lists are always at the top of your lists in the left sidebar, so you always know where to find them.

How Smart Lists work

You can choose which Smart Lists are visible to you by going into your Account Settings. You have three options for your Smart List: Auto, Visible and Hidden. When set to Auto, the Smart List will only be displayed when it's relevant (e.g. when any to-do is assigned to you, when any to-do has a Due Date for this week, etc.). When set to Visible, the Smart List will always be shown, regardless of if you have corresponding to-dos. If the Smart List is set to Hidden, the Smart List will not appear in your sidebar at all.
