The latest iOS is supposed to support greater integration with apps. How can I use Siri to insert a new task in Wunderlist?

Hello George,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

Unfortunately, Siri integration is not supported for Wunderlist. You may be able to create your own shortcut but it’s very complicated.

However, we are excited to announce that Siri integration is supported in our new product, Microsoft To-Do. Please try it out (get it from https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=846683) and let us know what feature you would like to see implemented soon on https://todo.uservoice.com/

Best regards,

There is now a Wunderlist action for Shortcuts. Just dropped this past week with the new update.

Hello Joe,

Thank you for your information.

Yes, with the update, there are more options to create shortcuts. Please check how to create a shortcut following Apple’s instruction: https://support.apple.com/guide/shortcuts/welcome/ios

With Wunderlist installed on your iPhone, there will be an option to create a task in Wunderlist.

Please kindly share your insights on how to better use Shortcut so other users can benefit from it!

Can you explaint the process of creating a to-do task with Siri using shortcuts? I installed the shortcuts app, but not clear how to use that to get Siri integration

Hello Anoop,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

Please follow the steps to set up a shortcut:

1. Open the Shortcuts app and tap the Library tab.
2. Tap Create Shortcut or tap the plus icon in the upper-right corner.
3. Find or search “Add Wunderlist Task” action and then tap it. Tap “Allow Access” and log in your account.
4. Set up variables for the fields you need to use, for example, select “ask when run” for the task title, and “current date” for the due date.
5. Tap the toggle icon at the top right corner, then enter a name, choose “Add to Siri”, record the task name and tap Done.
6. Now you can tell Siri “Wunderlist” to create a task!

However, you will still need to type the task name when the window pops up.

Please let me know if you have more questions. Have a great day!

Hello Dustin,

Thank you for your question.

Shortcuts is a new app in iOS 12. If you do not have it on your devices, please download it from the App Store. Here is Apple’s support article about Shortcuts: https://support.apple.com/guide/shortcuts/welcome/ios

Please let me know if you need more help!

Hi, thank you for this post. From this explanation, i've made a shortcut to add in a fixed list (to do list) by simply saying the content to siri. Very useful especially by car !

The new task via Siri shortcut stopped working because this URL stopped being supported, https://www.wunderlist.com/#/tasks/0. Please add back support for this and stop taking stuff away!!!

Hello Plaff,

Thank you for contacting us and sorry for the trouble.

Could you please send a screenshot of the Shortcut setting to support@wunderlist.com? There shouldn’t be a URL of https://www.wunderlist.com/#/tasks/0.

We will look into the problem as soon as we receive your email. In the meantime, I hope you have a great day!
